A whole cake full of little dumpling faces. This two-tier dim sum cake was made for Hieronymus’s 100 days celebration, with smiling buns on top and more dumplings tucked around the tiers and cake board.
The warm brown icing has horizontal lines to give it the look of stacked bamboo steamers. Blue bunting runs around the top tier, matching the number and the handwritten celebration message on the front.
Our favourite part is the different expressions. Some are smiling, some look surprised, and one or two look rather pleased with themselves. There’s something to spot all the way around this dumpling celebration cake.
